Alfred Maurer

Drawing on more than twenty years’ operational management experience in the technology field, Al is a consultant and educator specializing in IT Service Management systems and processes. Al has been a featured speaker at the international Directory Expert’s Conference as well as an educator with teaching experience at the U.S. Air Force Academy and Regis University.

Al has a diverse leadership and management background in public, private and nonprofit sectors, working for the U.S. Air Force, city government, a local Head Start organization, and, most recently, as manager and Service Manager for Naming and Authentication Services at Agilent Technologies where he built and operated Agilent’s world-wide authentication system. As an IT Service Management consultant his audiences have included the broadest possible array of organizations--financial, educational, private industry and local,state, and federal government.

A graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, Al holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Regis University and an MA in International Relations from American University. He holds the ITIL Expert Certification (V3) and has been trained in Total Quality, Six Sigma, project management and process reengineering methodology.
